Chabako No.10 - Plum Blossoms and Bush Warbler Meet Danish Tea Baskets

Description:
"The bowl can be used as a tea bowl or a water bottle. I bought a bowl in Denmark, my first trip alone, which can be used as either a tea bowl or a tea container, and an old Imari soba choko (buckwheat choko) from the late Edo period, which I bought at an antique market, as a tea bowl.

Whenever I find a combination of items that fits Cinderella, I look for a cloth that would be good for a "hedeki," a gap between two pieces of pottery to prevent them from touching each other and chipping.

I also cut and sharpened the tea scoop to a length that would bridge the tea bowl and fit in the tea basket.

I bought the cloth I wanted until I was able to match the cloth, and after a few unsuccessful attempts at stitching, the tea basket was completed exactly as I had envisioned." -SOUU DOBASHI
